Hunts County Squash Club
Hunts County Squash Club (HCSC) was founded in 1967, and is one of the most active squash clubs in Cambridgeshire. It boasts four courts, two of which are glass-backed. With an impressive show court that has seating for 120 spectators, Hunts County Squash Club hosts national training days and open tournaments.
The Squash Club offers coaching for all ages and abilities, and is home to the Sports Academy – a centre of excellence for our talented young players.
HCSC has flourished throughout its history and many of its members have achieved county and national success. Most importantly, the club is all-inclusive and welcomes everyone regardless of ability. Club nights are held once a week and new members are encouraged and supported. For further details please see the HCSC website.

HCSC Crowned County Cup Champions

The first team travelled to Peterborough on Saturday for the finals of the Cambridgeshire County Cup, aiming to be crowned cup champions for the 2021/22 season.
First up, HCSC took on league winners March in the semi-final. With March being a player short, we just needed two wins out of the four matches to make it through to the final. The match was never in doubt and comprehensive wins from Sofia, Malik and Rob saw our guys through to take on Bedford Towers in the final.
Always a tight affair against Bedford, the first two matches were split with Henry losing out in a tight 3/1 at no.5 and Jonny Williams showing his class at no.4 to win 3/2. Next, Griggsy narrowly lost out 3/2 at no.2 string and things were starting to look nervy as Malik lost the first game at no.3. However, the first’s start performer of the season soon found his feet and took the next three in decisive fashion; possibly Malik’s best performance for HCSC! This meant that the tie would be won if Rob could win at no.1. It was never in doubt and Rob won 3/0, meaning that the team took the win 3/2.
Well done to everyone involved with the cup run this year and to those that came to suppot the team in their cup run this season. A big thank you as well to captain and team organiser Griggsy for all his hard work this season!
